Torrey Creed

Clinical Psychology PhD, College of Liberal Arts ’07

“I had the chance to learn Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and research skills from faculty who were trailblazers, which was an incredible opportunity.”

About

Torrey Creed attended Temple from 2001 to 2007, during which time she earned her master’s and her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Developmental Psychopathology.

For Creed, it was the opportunities to work collaboratively with other graduate students and alongside experienced faculty that helped her build the skills and research methodologies she needed to “help clients live their best lives” in her professional career—which is exactly what she’s doing today.

As an assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Medicine, Creed’s impactful work is focused on increasing sustainable access to psychotherapies for people in underserved communities throughout the United States and in low- to middle-income countries.
